Your Success - Who is responsible?



This week is all about ‘not giving up’.  

We are almost at the end of term one and we thought this was the perfect time to chat about what to do when things get hard!

Watch the videos before answering the prompts. They may help develop your thinking around having the ‘courage to continue’.

 


1. "Failures open the doors to success!" Tell us about a time when you failed with something?
A1. I lost at board games but then i found so strategys to help me win




2. Tell us about a time when you had success? What did you do to achieve success?
A2. I won a speech comp because i practised and had strong points.



3. We are responsible for our own success and learning. Do you agree or disagree and why?
A3.i agree because if we are making the wrong decision for our learning we wont get far
but if you need help then it is up to others to help you.



4. What is a challenge you have faced this year? Explain what happened.
A4. i found out that i had a learning problem and i did not know what to do so i got help from the teachers and im on the right track to success .



5. There's no such thing as an overnight success. What does this mean? Do you agree and why?
A5. i don't know


6. Why do we give up? What can we do to avoid giving up in the future? Who can help us?
A6. we give up because we find it to hard or not worth it , keep trying because nothing is impossible l,the people that can help you are everyone.



7. "If you do what is easy, your life will be hard." What is this trying to tell us?
A7.it telling us that if we keep doing the things we know we wont get anywhere so challenge yourself.



8. Inner confidence and self-belief are the keys to success. Do you agree or disagree and why?
A8. agree because if you dont think you can you wont.



9. Who is responsible for your success?

    I really like the way you have said what you did that enabled you to succeed. I'm really impressed with your determination and think that this is a real strength of yours. I'm looking forward to spending some more time with you this term and exploring what some of your other strengths and abilities are.
